Shooting the Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon
We travelled to Uganda to document the South African team’s full experience, from tourism and cultural immersion through to the marathon. The coverage captured encounters with chimpanzees, rhinos and a wide range of other wildlife, alongside the landscapes, people and moments that defined the journey. The goal was to create authentic visual storytelling that highlights the depth of connection between the two nations.
From the Wild to the Finish Line
The project delivered a complete body of film and photography assets that celebrate Uganda’s natural beauty and the shared experiences of the South African team. Tyron Dollaway spearheaded the logistics and photography while Matthew du Plessis handled the videography and fetched Ty a beer when asked. Every frame was shaped to reflect genuine discovery, sporting spirit and cultural exchange, ready for use across official channels and public platforms.
